In cooperation with “Achterland “, the Johnny Raw Studio is working on a series of Multimedia installations that concern “past presence in reclaimed land”. The exact exhibition format has yet to be defined but will definitely include video, sound, music and poetry. Exhibition will, apart from various musea in Flevoland” take place in public space. The first one concerns the former island of Schokland nowadays embedded in the Noordoostpolder. Schokland was an elongated strip of peat land which ceased to be an island when the Noordoostpolder was reclaimed from the sea in 1942 (read on….). Achterland aims to build bridges between society and literature thus making literature more accessible by creating a context a listener or reader can (more) easily relate to. To be continued…
